Strongly fermented sort Wu Yi Qi Lan absorbed the beauty of traditional rock teas and oolongs from the South Fujian. This sort is produced according to a technology of traditional rock teas from The Wuyi Mountains, but is not exposed to such strong fermentation like classical Wuyi oolongs, and they are processed with a lighter heat treatment. Big oily dark tealeaves with tints of light green and light brown look like  gracefully curved leaves of smoky orchid; delicate sophisticated aroma with floral notes grows into strong wave of sweet, very sweet-scented, rich fragrance, that reminds an orchid's aroma with a light tint of wood heated with fire.
