East Rising Hermit

Tea Hermit from Eastern Mountain is a rarity sort produced in the homeland of a tea tree in Yunnan province. This sort is produced according to an ancient technology recreated in one of tea families in this region. To produce teas they use young leaves of tea trees that grow high in the mountains – at the height 2000-3000 meter above sea level. Some of them are older than 100 years. The main stages of Dun Fan Hun's processing technology are withering, rolling, fermentation and hot drying. Dark amber-coloured infusion has smooth soft taste with a tinge of seasoned rum and rich deep aroma. This sort is produced in small amounts and is considered a true treasure among red teas from Yunnan province.
