Bai Hao Wu Long takes a notable place among elite teas in general, and is the Taiwan’s rarest jewel. The young flushes framed by two small leaves (“one heart, two leaves”) grown in magnificent mountains among crystal clear waters of river Laotianliao, are saturated with the nature’s divine spirit. The picking is done exclusively by hand. The leaves are “stung” by a cicada, simultaneously the tea’s exotic quality and its distinguishing feature. The leaves which can be of five different colors are naturally curled and resemble flower buds. When brewed they turn into a rich amber infusion, exceptionally rich in amino-acids yet keeping its tender refined fragrance of ripe fruit. The tea carries on with a sweet honey aftertaste.
