A Li Shan Wu Long is grown on the territory of the Alishan mountain range at the altitude of 900-1700 meters above the sea level. These favorable conditions of higher cloudiness, dense fogs, and fertile soils promote active growth of tea trees. Hand-picked tea flushes containing a young juicy bud and two robust leaves are used as raw material for this tea. A Li Shan Wu Long is considered to be one of the most beautiful teas in the world. The tea leaves are tightly rolled into the shape of small semi-spheres or compact little balls resembling pearls. Their surface is colored dark smoke-green with a tint of gold. The tea’s fresh bouquet is reminiscent of cool mountain springs, while its natural floral and fruity fragrance carries a hint of osmanthus. The pure and clear infusion with a shade of gold yields a long-lasting slightly sweet aftertaste.
