Silver Needles

The rare sort of Mo Li Yin Zhen is produced exclusively in Fujian Province out of the buds picked early spring from the Da Bai Cha tree (snow white tea). The Mountain Range Taimushan is one of the locations in which this kind is grown. There, according to the legend, goddess Taimu lived – she, who bestowed the wonderful tea tree on people. After careful heat treatment the juicy buds become the tea, which then, in precise proportions, gets mixed with fresh jasmine flowers. There are total up to 6 or 7 cycles of natural aromatization, and following each one jasmine is carefully separated from the tea. The tea itself is then dried. The Mo Li Yin Zhen tea’s main distinction is its straight buds, resembling needles covered with snow white hairs. In the pure pale-yellow infusion, the graceful leaves make an elegant dance, saturating the tea with a delicate yet rich flavor and light slightly sweet notes.
