Li Zhi Hong Cha, the elite sort of red tea is highly valued by tea-lovers all around the world. In China the fruit of litchi is a symbol of good luck and fortune’s favor. Tea leaves are processed using a traditional technology: withering, rolling, fermentation and heat drying. On the final stage of the process the tea is dried at moderate temperature with addition of choice litchi. This process takes up a significant amount of time, thanks to which the tea soaks up the exotic aroma of litchi. Slender elongated leaves of Li Zhi Hong Cha are very delicate. Their glossy surface is painted in hues of rich dark-red. The tea’s pure golden-amber infusion comes with a slightly sweet fruity bouquet and a rich spicy flavor with a slight lemon kick. Drinking the tea fresh is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the original and delicious taste of red tea with a flavor of litchi.
