The Yun Nan Cui Se Ya Bao  tea is considered to be the rarest and the most valuable sort of tea from Yunnan province. It is produced in limited quantities with volumes of production strictly controlled by the state. Only the youngest, just opened buds of the tea shrub, picked early spring, undergo a gentle thermal treatment – sun wilting or heat drying in an oven. This exclusive sort of tea features original flavor and aroma. The miniature tips resemble tiny flower buds with barely opened petals. Delicate silvery hairs cover the buds’ smooth surface, pistachio-green with specks of brown. The crystal clear, transparent pale green-yellow infusion is slightly fragrant of resin, redolent of sun-heated bark, its enveloping slightly sweet flavor with a hint of woods. This kind of tea is a treat for the most noble of guests, and, as a rule, is not used in daily tea drinking.
